There is a Chinese Proverb that says, “The cheap price is a short cut to being cheated.” You always tend to get what you pay for. Good, effective advertising is going to cost something; hard work produces excellence. The resulting quality and effectiveness of the finished product should bring a measure of return greater than that expended.

Our pricing is fairly simple, we have basic set rates for periodical page designs (dependent upon number of colors and dimensions). We charge a standard 15% Agency Commission on all ad placement and printed materials. There is usually built into most periodicals the offer of 15% additional discount to active agencies. So, this cost is not typically prohibitive or counter to what rates the company would itself receive.
When managing an ad campaign, we have an additional Agency Fee of 10% of the total advertising budget. The Agency Fee is distributed evenly over the life of the contract (typically a year). We of AdJourney use this fee to cover the incidentals of advertising (postage, proof prints, exchange rate fees, etc.), as well as pay for the behind-the-scenes-labors of setting up contracts, managing the account, following up with periodicals for editorial content, and doing various “busy” work on behalf of the client.
When we work “per piece” rather than manage the account, incidentals are billed back to the client. We do what we can to make your budget work in the most effective way possible.

Our standard hourly rate is $75 per hour. There are not many agencies where the principal designer comes for less than $150. We are of equal and in some cases are superior in both quality and capability to our counterparts. Our size and low overhead allow us the benefit and our clients the luxury of top quality and capability at a less expensive hourly rate.

When we come to understand the parameters of a given project, we can produce a bid or proposal of what we think it would cost to complete. A signed contract to begin will lock us in on the rate and negotiated figures (active for 30 days from submission).
