The Internet has become a prominent force in the makeup of advertising, entertainment, information, and practically every facet of our lives these days - and it is only going to grow. It is not uncommon to find Internet browsers on everything from cell phones to refrigerators. So, what is next? How do we communicate in this medium of changing proportions? The medium differs, its spread is broad (Facebook, Twitter, etc), and its only constant is change.

Though the medium is new, distinct, and changing - the standards of good, effective communication are still active. A little background ... I (Brian) was a Certified Macromedia / Adobe Instructor and did contract training for Lodestone Digital, LLC, The Avenue Group (both of Charlotte), Techead (of Richmond, VA) and custom summer student/teacher training at the North Carolina School of Science and Math (done in both a classroom setting and live via telecast over the whole state). Once the workload for business had become too great to continue training, I discontinued teaching in order to better meet my client's service needs. I still love to sit down with a client and bring them to a comfortable level of understanding of the web and how to put it to work for their products needs.

The largest work of web development is site design/redesign. Design (by definition) is the art of conceiving and producing of a plan to show the look, function, and working of something. Web design is just that - conceiving of a plan (a job description for the site), a look (the general look/feel of the site), and the function and working (interactivity). As previously stated - good, effective communication is the core and overriding priority. Staying consistent to your brands message and communicating effectively via this marvelous medium is a grand challenge.
