portfolio: illustrations
The purpose of illustration is to accompany textual information and provide a visual representation of that text either as decoration or additional information to the reader. Wow, that sounded textbook. In short, illustrations either have the core purpose to decorate or to educate.
I created the first of the collection above for different ads done on behalf of Sandhills Pediatrics. The images are illustrations of children and serve to decorate ad material and print literature. For these, I wanted to create a distinctive illustration style that would be unique to Sandhills Pediatrics. That way each ad placement, the illustrations would promote added brand recognition.
The other illustrations are random personal projects.
