CASE 5: MaxRide

MaxRide is a sub-brand to POLARMAX - a base layer clothing brand of Longworth Industries. MaxRide is sold predominantly on the west coast and is focused on the snow boarder audience with 4-way stretch performance fabric and contrast stitching. The product packaging needed a new image. The prior presentation for MaxRide was lacking a personality - much less one that would connect with the audience it was targeting.

I called the saleswoman who handles the west coast accounts - Patti Fisher - a remarkable person with great insights into her target audience. She had a keen sense of observation and was truly on track to what the boarders liked, wore, listened to, etc. I took her information, combined it with the information I dug up in my personal research and created the logo (shown above) and a new packaging. Patti was most pleased and told me it was "the best packaging in this product category by far."
